I will share some projects I am involved with from time to time. Turning personal stories into memories; preserving identity, culture and history. Oral history dates back to Herodotus a fifth century BC Greek, who travelled extensively capturing stories of people’s lives. Contemporary oral historians do too and so can you, even if you do not have qualifications in history. You may know of someone whose life story is worth capturing and preserving; this can be done quite simply. Recording their voice as they tell their story is quite special, so is producing a booklet, a book or some sort of document that preserves their life history. There are two examples on this website.
